Hobart Wonderings.

Helping you and your family navigate what you need and want to do in life.

We are a neuro affirming practice. This means that we are in alignment with the neurodiversity affirming movement which embraces natural neurological differences and views resulting disability as rooted in societal barriers, not as individual deficits.

Our core values at Hobart Wonderings guide our work everyday.

Connection- trusted relationships & creating a sense of belonging

Compassion- demonstrating kindness & understanding

Curiosity- being open minded & committed to learn

Collaboration- working in partnership with our families

Creativity- capturing possibility and thinking beyond

Celebrating-acknowledging strengths & honouring magic moments

Yes they do really all start with C :)

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land, sea and waterways on which we work and live and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future and honour their communities and their living culture. We acknowledge that Lutruwita (Tasmania) continues to provide the Palawa ritual, medicine and craft as their way of being, doing and becoming. Sovereignty was never ceded.

Hobart Wonderings is excited to take part in 1000 Hearts - a kindness project that spreads comfort and hope to anyone who needs it. We will be making pocket hearts to share with our clients and we encourage you to join us in spreading the love and compassion.

Visit 1000 Hearts to discover how to become a 'heartist’ and to learn more about this wonderful project.

Why choose Hobart Wonderings?

Family based approach

We do not exist without our family.

Families need to know how to help their child/young person day in, day out.

Sometimes families lose their way.

We believe supporting families is essential in helping children and young people.

we work hard to set the right goals

Right from the start we work hard to tailor your therapy goals to your priorities.

We prioritise, we problem solve and we make sure we’re making progress.

we love to work with schools

Working in and with a person’s everyday environment supports and creates opportunity for positive change.

We support school staff to understand what is going on for your child/young person to help them reach their potential.
