Occupational therapy

Occupational Therapists (OTs) help children and young people reach their potential in everyday life. Children’s occupations are about how they play, how they make and sustain friendships, participate in family life and how they engage in education. We want children to feel good in these spaces.

We work hard to understand what is getting in the way and what is supporting participation in any activity that a child or young person needs or wants to do. At Hobart Wonderings, we tailor therapy to individuals and their families to help pave new pathways to overcome emotional or mental health challenges.

Workshops & Webinars for parents and professionals

We have a growing series of workshops to offer our parents and professional community.

Keep an eye on our social media for the latest!

We have run workshops on a range of topics, one of our most popular is our Neurodiversity Affirming Practice for parents an introduction- this is now available on this website in our store for purchase and watching as many times as you need to with your extended network!

For helping professionals and teachers we have a ‘Ready to Learn’ series which focuses on how to help children with emotional regulation challenges.

We encourage you to read more about our successful ‘Sensory Sleuths’ workshop for professionals in our news section, it has been SO well received.

Group Work

Social connections are a central part of any child or young persons development and are often the source of challenges.

Therapeutic groups are a powerful way of working with children and young people to teach them skills for life in navigating the social world.

Groups are run periodically throughout the year, see the news section for upcoming groups facilitated by Hobart Wonderings.

Professional Support

If you are an allied health professional seeking clinical supervision, email hello@hobartwonderings.com to discuss our flexible options.

Supervision is essential in our line of work, to reflect, critically evaluate and feel supported to be your best self. Without the right supervision we are all at risk of burnout, vicarious trauma and non sustainable practises.
